Avec la transformation récente de l'économie mondiale, ce n'est plus un modèle marginal : en effet, selon les résultats de l'étude, ‘Les coopératives et l'emploi : un rapport mondial', réalisé par CICOPA, au moins 11 millions de personnes dans le monde sont des travailleurs membres, à savoir, en même temps employés et propriétaires de leur coopérative.

Con la reciente transformación de la economía mundial, este ya no es un modelo marginal, de hecho, de acuerdo con los resultados del estudio, ‘Las cooperativas y el empleo: un informe mundial', llevado a cabo por CICOPA, al menos 11 millones de personas en todo el mundo son socios y socias trabajadoras, es decir, al mismo tiempo empleados/as y propietarios/as de su cooperativa.
